The
Dreamtime Journey
Weekend Workshop Retreat
The Dreamtime Journey
is an entry to your subconscious for self-revelation and inner
guidance, combining two complementary approaches: the
psycho-spiritual opening made possible by Shamanic Journey,
and the soul-centered approach of Jungian Psychology, which
concerns itself with the unique transformative path which each
soul must follow.
These experiential
sessions use expanded awareness and creativity through a natural
altered state of consciousness.
This work allows you to release stuck emotions, free creative
energy and reaffirm your connection with the divine, while
group process aids you in discovering how to apply these healing
experiences to everyday living.
To
celebrate the publication of the new audio program, The
Dreamtime Journey, Jeremiah will be
conducting small group retreats throughout 2006, where participants
can use this powerful altered-states induction to take the
soul’s visionary journey.
The journey work
takes you into your body, out of your cognitive mind and into
greatly expanded creative possibilities.
Through evocative music and simple, yet powerful breathing
techniques that anyone can do, you will embark on a subjective
journey, during which you may experience a release of blocked
emotions, discovery of transpersonal connections and new creative
insights. People often report phenomenal changes and
a sense of wholeness that has been missing from their lives.
Jeremiah gently teaches
how to create the mental set and the physical setting required to drop into the rich altered-state
reverie of the Dreamtime. When we are ready, the music comes
on and the Journey begins. Afterwards, we’ll bring imaginative
light to the images that turn up using expressive art work
and interpretive group process. The group dialogue will
build to help understand and embody the dreaming.
Once
you learn to use the path of direct experience made possible through focused attention, intentional
breathing, and evocative music, you can return again and again
to the Dreamtime––whenever you are feeling stuck,
or when you just feel it’s time to discover your next
right step.

JEREMIAH ABRAMS Steeped in the mythopoetic tradition of
Jungian Psychology, Jeremiah Abrams is considered a leading authority
on the human shadow. He has worked in the helping professions
for more than 30 years as a Jungian therapist, pastoral counselor,
and organizational consultant. He is currently director
of the Mt. Vision Institute, which sponsors a certification program
in Pastoral Counseling, as well as sacred sites journeys to Greece
and Mexico. Adopted by Seneca Wolf Clan Grandmother Twylah
Nitsch as a grandson (Strong Wolf), Jeremiah is also a purification
(sweat) lodge leader. He teaches seminars and workshops
internationally on dreams and Dreamtime, on the human Shadow,
and on Soul-Centered Psychology. His books include Reclaiming
the Inner Child; Meeting
the Shadow: The Hidden Power of the Dark Side of Human Nature; The Shadow
in America; and
the audio-music
program, The Dreamtime
Journey.
Jeremiah Abrams writes: Everyday consensus reality floats
on a vast mythopoetic ocean––the Dreamtime, which is present and available to
us at all times. We are dreaming during wakefulness
and during sleep, twenty-four hours a day. Only when
we drop below the ‘threshold of reverie’ during
sleep do we dream without distraction. What we are dreaming
reflects forward and backward on everyday waking reality.
The ability to move easily between the two worlds, ego-centered
life to soul-centered existence—once the exclusive
province of mystics, saints, poets, and shamans—is today
a skill for well-being in an increasingly demanding world.”
